• Be resilient.  Be Hopeful.

Resilience Many people, who have known me, may not know that I was a classical trained Chinese instrument player from age of 9 to age of 14, and competed nationally till the day I did not get admitted to the best Music and Art Performance school in Taiwan. The Chinese instrument I played is called Liuqin. If you are curious about what Liuqin sounded like, this music piece (https://youtu.be/sTynfNCgXlY) is what I played at a national competition.  I was placed number 7 nationally at age of 13. To me, I failed as a musician at an early age. And, a few weeks after finding out not admitted to the top…

  • Life Journey Starts with You

I just wrapped up teaching 2 workshops in Dubai and Doha, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to share my tools with those who attended the workshops. Many people asked me why I am so motivated to teach mindfulness and professional coaching to others.   My answer simply is that , “I just want to make an impact in people’s lives.  Help them make positive change and be more resilient.” I personally went through a soul-searching journey 5 years ago, after moving from NYC to the Middle East and recovering from a life-changing medical event.  Only applying tools like professional coaching, yoga, and mindfulness, I began living…

  • Do What You Love for Living

I like Greece, a country filled with so much history, beauty, culture, and kindness.  The unemployment rate in Greece is at 23%.  On the street of Athens, it’s not hard to spot economical stress in people’s eyes.  Yet, it’s also not hard to feel Greek people’s determinations and passions for what they do for living, especially small business owners. My husband and I always love exploring boutique shops in countries we visit.  While in Greece, we tasted the best coffee and hot chocolate in Athens, and the best home-cooked Greek food in Nafplio.  Each place we tried, we experienced shop owners’ detail to attention in food we received.  An that…

  • What is Your Brand?

This is my 2nd time, invited to speak at Qatar Leadership Conference, an UN model organized by student leaders on leaderships skills and development.  Over 50 energized students attended my session.  I spoke about  how I applied brand lessons from my favorite houses to my own brand. My 3 favorite fashion houses are Salvatore Ferragamo, Tiffany & Co, and Alexander McQueen.  Not only theses brands have carefully crafted their brand images, but also maintain their brand consistency through out years.  These 3 brands are connected with me through great emotions, and represent who I am.  How so? Salvatore Ferragamo brand: obsessed with solving a problem, innovated designs with 350+ patents, associated with…

  • Turning 38 … #ShareTheJoy

I turned 38 this October.  Being in my late 30’s is exciting to me, but yet anxious (2 more years and counting, pushing for 40’s).  I am thankful and grateful for so many things in my life, including my loved ones and friends.  However, as a human being, I often look at things I haven’t accomplished yet, personally and professionally. For my 38th birthday, my husband and I went to India for the first time, and stayed at a remote yoga and meditation eco-resort in Kerala, India. Reconnecting our souls to our minds and bodies, I enjoyed the daily discipline – 4 hours of yoga, meditation, and vegetarian meals.  Every day at…

  • Dream BIG

This June, I returned to Taiwan for a personal leave, and had opportunities meeting working professionals (I always love meeting new people!).  We talked just about anything – life, interest, career growth, and future in Taiwan.  Despite their hard-working ethics, most of people I met somehow felt limited possibilities at where they are and their career outlooks also sounded pessimistic . When I asked them why they felt such limitations in their career, they often replied by saying, “the environment is difficult, because …”  And then, they would go on talking about their children, schools, and their own work-life balance. Dream Big with positivities & possibilities As a coach, I always believe we all can…
