• 40s Lifestyle – Protecting Your Eyes

Aging is a word I think about more often in my 40s.  Well … technically, I am 39 and turning 40 in a few months! In today’s blog post, I want to share about how I am taking care of my eyesights in 40s, with nutritions, behavior change, and a simple pair of EyeZen glasses. I grew up in an Asian & eyeglasses-wearing family, and everyone has terrible nearsightedness.  7 years ago, I underwent Lasik and PRK vision correction, which was life-changing.  And, as s I age, I also began to experience seeing more floaters in both of my eyes, and frequent dryness in eyes has become unavoidable.  About 1…

  • Adjusting to 40s

I am turning 40 in a few months!  And, just the sound of saying 40 blows my mind. Both of my parents are now in their 70’s, and my older siblings are also approaching their mid-40’s.  I guess I should say all of us finally have grown up! Looking back at my 30’s, I love every moment of it.  I’ve given it 110%, and truly have lived my 30’s for myself, not for others.  I’ve experienced love, happiness, joy, heartbreaks, loss, grief, anger, anxiety … You name it. I’ve experienced them all! Since earlier this year, I began to observe that my wellbeing has begun to change – body, mind,…

  • Moving Forward toward Goals

The past 6 weeks went by so fast, and I felt these time have been so fruitful, yet intense.  Since September, I had 4 speaking engagements, co-hosted 1 Facebook Live, conducted 1 workshop, attended the largest technology conference, and plus, all of projects I have at work.   Phew, high-five to myself! Because we are human and we have the need to feel that we are moving forward in our lives, having bite-size milestones for each of our goals can help us see progress that are sometimes hard to spot.  I often advice my coaching clients to set up tangible and measurable goals at the beginning of the year (or if you…

  • Minimalist Packing Guide for Leisure Travel

My husband and I recently took a trip to Azerbaijan for a 5-day holiday.  This trip, I wanted to test myself to pack like a minimalist for leisure travel, which means that I could only carry a backpack and a handbag.  No check-in at the airport counter and no stress over space of overhead bins. I recently shared my minimalist guide for 5-day business travel packing.  For some reason, I observe that I haven’t applied similar minimalist mindset to my leisure travels.   Hence, I often end up carrying 20% of stuff that I’ve never used or worn during a trip. I talked about packing minimalist-ly for business travel, and that means…
